 Shaun Abrahamson,  co-founded Urban.Us a seed stage venture fund focused on making cities better.

Shaun leads Urban.Us, a seed stage venture fund and network of advisors serving startups that make cities better. He is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor and author. He lives in Miami with his wife and artist Andrea Nhuch and two kids, Max & Oli. If he is not working or with his family, you will find him Onewheeling or swimming.

Russell Benford, Deputy Mayor, Miami-Dade County

Russell Benford serves as Deputy Mayor of Miami-Dade County, the largest county in the State of Florida and the eighth largest in the United States. Mr. Benford uses his knowledge of growth management, capital planning and economic development to provide direct oversight to the Community Action and Human Services, Corrections, Fire, Juvenile Services, Medical Examiner, Police and Public Housing and Community Development Departments. Additionally, he serves as a liaison to the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust, Homeless Trust, and CareerSource South Florida.

Mark ParisManaging Director, Citi, Municipal Markets Division

Mark Paris is a Managing Director within Citi’s Municipal Markets Division and co-manages Citi’s interface with client debt origination in the Capital Markets. In addition, Mark is head of Citi’s Urban Innovation Initiative, which is focused on strategic investments and partnerships with emerging growth companies and organizations that address urban pain points. The Initiative looks to invest or partner with emerging companies that have measurable contributions to the economic development of income-challenged communities. Companies range from smart parking, healthy food for school children, water use management technologies, smart glass manufacturing, building robotics and many others. Some of these companies have been featured on television through Citi’s Progress Makers campaign.
