Pitch your heart out and you may just win a year of office space in Wynwood, one of #MiamiTech’s hottest neighborhoods.
Goldman Properties, Wynwood’s remiere developer, announced the launch of the inaugural Wyncubator Competition. Goldman joined with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, his Venture Miami team, and On Deck, a career accelerator for tech, to launch a pitch competition for emerging startups.
“We seek to identify the most innovative and disruptive tech startup and award that startup the opportunity to plant roots and thrive in Miami’s bustling Wynwood neighborhood,” the announcement said.
To be eligible the tech startup must be under a year old, have 10 or fewer employees, and revenue of less than $1 million. Startups throughout the US are invited to participate.
Each applicant will be judged on progress, product, polish and “wildcard,” or the startup’s special quality. Applications are open for submission now through Monday, May 17, at noon. The top five finalists will pitch in person to a judging panel of local innovators at Wynwood Walls at 7 pm on May 26.
Here’s the good stuff: the prize. The winner will receive a one-year, rent-free lease of a newly furnished office (for up to 10 employees) in the heart of Wynwood, five complimentary parking spaces in the Wynwood Garage, five annual memberships to the Wynwood Walls, and a full merit scholarship to an On Deck program.
