GOOGLE 2 – CULTIVATING AN ENVIRONMENT FOR EQUALITY: WHEN WOMEN CALL THE SHOTS

March 6, 2016 @ 2:00 pm UTC-5

GOOGLE SEMINAR SERIES ON GENDER & RACIAL GAPS IN FILM & TECH

Prominent women filmmakers discussing their perspectives on calling-the-artistic-shots. When women are in the director’s chair, how does the atmosphere in pre-production, on a set, or in the editing and sound mixing suites change? How are decisions on hiring creative collaborators approached? These and other potentially explosive issues are brought to the foreground by some of the woman who have helmed feature films at this year’s Festival. Panelists include Rebecca Miller(Maggie’s Plan), Dawn Porter (Trapped) and Lorene Scafaria (The Meddler).
