About This Workshop
If you’re facing a job search right now, you’re not alone. There are record numbers of people filing for unemployment benefits in the U.S. and half of the global workforce is at risk of losing their livelihoods.
Whether you were recently laid off, were unemployed before the global pandemic hit, or are choosing to make a change, looking for a job now — amidst hiring freezes and layoffs — will be different than it was a few months ago. But how different?
When it comes to interviewing, preparation is key. We will start by thoroughly researching and preparing for the interview. Then we will dive into the interview itself and teach you some practical frameworks and tools to really wow in those behavioral questions. We will do some on-the-spot practice and feedback to work through the jitters! Lastly, we will make sure you’ve got all the logistics covered from what to wear to thank you notes, so you can look like a pro from start to finish!

Venture Café began in 2009 as an experiment by the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) to test a simple hypothesis: if we bring together innovators and entrepreneurs to engage in spontaneous conversations and semi-curated programming, they’ll come up with never-before-imagined innovations to make the world a better place and generate economic growth. And, it’s working. Read our full global story. Venture Café Miami works closely with its partner, CIC Miami, to build a vibrant innovation community in South Florida.
