The Empathy Escape Room
May 10, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm EDT
Let’s test our empathy skills while we practice our ability to connect in times of social distancing.
The past year forced us to embrace the concept of social distancing. There was a sharp decline in opportunities to connect with others and practice our social skills. Additionally, deep ideological divisions within our community have further challenged our ability to listen and connect with empathy.
During this online experience, attendees will have the opportunity to experience navigating past superficial conversations to reach deeper connections in their social interactions. Also, they will explore their own biases and lenses while experiencing what it means to connect with empathy.
Our Session Outcomes :
- Help attendees understand their own lenses through which they view others and their situations.
- Help us learn or re-learn what it means to connect with family, friends, colleagues, and strangers through an exploration of different questions.
- Explore what empathy can look like when communicating with others and how to ask empathetic questions.
- Understand the strength and power in expressing our own vulnerabilities.
