About the speaker:
Ray is a data scientist at Royal Caribbean. Previously Ray worked as a post-doc at the University of Miami focusing on climate modeling. This involved analyzing TeraBytes of data on a High Performance Computer. Ray is an advocate for open-source software mostly with the PyData stack. Ray developed xskillscore to streamline analysis of climate models. It is currently used as a dependency to climpred: an open source python package for climate prediction.
