We are a fun, young company (only two years old!) with highly motivated people looking to work hard and have fun while doing it. We are looking for an intern to join our dynamic team and support us through various functions while learning how the startup world works.
This position will be located at our headquarters in Little Havana, at the heart of Miami, FL.
Internship Description and Responsibilities
This internship will consist of working primarily with the Growth Accelerator team within TheVentureCity, which focuses on helping software startups grow through a very exclusive, tailor made program. The intern will assist in the selection process of startups and work closely with the startups accepted in the program on a daily basis.
It will also offer the opportunity to work on projects in other areas of the business like supporting the communications team, product, finance, operations and business mindset. Projects can range from conducting research, creating proposals/presentations, assisting with event planning and execution, performing benchmark analysis, video editing, social media posting and more.
We are looking for people that are enthusiastic, confident, outgoing, a builder, fixer, problem solver, optimist at heart that likes to deal with people and build long lasting relationships.
Candidates should have basic Excel skills, familiarity with social media platforms, great organizational skills, and an interest in venture capital and startups.
We expect deep interest in technology and tech companies, particularly in the local community.
Must speak English. Spanish is a plus.
Time Commitment & Compensation
This is a part-time role working 4 or 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, ideally at the same time every day. Commitment will be 6 months provided that objectives and expectations are met on both sides. Details will be discussed during the interview.
The internship will be paid and will offer the opportunity for course credit in case the university allows.
