The Kaplan Group of Companies is looking for a full-time Financial / Business Operations
Administrator.

The Kaplan Group of Companies (KGC) is a Miami-based investment firm that has two main
objectives. We work with niche investment managers to fund unique opportunities, typically
in sub-one billion dollar funds. The group also directly manages a fertilizer production
operation in Finland, real estate developments in Romania, among other global projects. We
enjoy learning from the smartest networks and taking calculated risks.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
KGC is looking for a detail-oriented professional to help our business grow and operate
better. The nature of our international business requires efficient communications and
processes across our team of finance, accounting, marketing, sales, and supply chain
professionals.
An ideal candidate will be passionate about process and organization and interested in
gaining a wide exposure to international business. You will be a core component of our
business by reporting directly to our CEO, Ian Kaplan, and working closely with our finance
manager and our accounting manager.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
#1: Deliver compliance information to our banks and investment partners and assist with our
annual tax filing processes. Through the administrative work you will learn our sophisticated
investment and tax systems.

#2: Improve our digital process and organization. It might be hard to believe, but we still
print things out and file in filing cabinets. You will work with the team to select new
software, organize our files, and routinely suggest new tools to make our work more
tech-enabled.

#3: Ensure that the physical office in Miami is a pleasant and clean place to work. Work
alongside our CEO, Ian Kaplan, to celebrate team victories, holidays, and plan team bonding
events.

As we look to grow, our goal is that you’ll grow with us too. This role will support
overarching operations of the office as we continue to expand our businesses.

Qualifications:

  •  Highly organized people-person with a desire to problem solve.
  • Experience with basic office management and administration.
  • Quick learner of new technologies and ability to educate others on how to best utilize
    them.
  • Curiosity to learn more about international business and finance.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in building
    relationships with leadership teams and managers.
