The Merchant Marketing Acquisition Lead for OpenStore is a highly-visible role that entails a high degree of responsibility and accountability, and involves leading paid marketing acquisition campaigns targeted at Shopify-based SMB merchants for the company to acquire, as well as coordination with internal stakeholders, executives, and external agency partners that play a critical role in the growth of OpenStore.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and experiment with a variety of media strategies, and manage the execution of acquisition campaigns to drive OpenStore’s growth via merchant M&A
Develop and own budget for paid marketing campaigns
Manage, coach and develop a strong team of internal or external marketing professionals and agencies aligned to support the business objectives of our key stakeholders
Provide analysis and commentary internally designed to continually improve our merchant acquisition efforts
Be at the forefront in understanding new marketing trends and opportunities
Maintain and develop reporting processes and tools, generating actionable insights to drive operational decisions and improve the efficiency of marketing investments
Assist with acquisition forecasting and work closely with other teams to support merchant M&A
Design and implement test frameworks that employ statistically valid test and control methodologies to gather data and measure the impact on campaign response, value and program ROI
Identify and address or partner to address data, platform or technology gaps that might hinder successful progress
Develop or assist with developing high quality creative and messaging
Who You Are:
- 7+ years of experience in growth or acquisition marketing
- Track record of driving measurable revenue and engagement via paid marketing
- Strong quantitative analysis skills, affinity for numbers and the ability to process complex calculations quickly and accurately
- Exceptional marketing insights and proven success utilizing analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive concrete action
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, multi-task and participate in team-based planning process
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment, and demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness
