The Startup Showdown is next week. The finalists competing for $120K are …

And then there were … six.

Panoramic Ventures, one of the largest venture firms in the Southeast, is bringing its Startup Showdown to Miami  next week, and intended to present five Miami startups for the final judging. But the team just couldn’t do it because the quality of entries was so high.

The team evaluated more than 100 entries and invited 25 semifinalists to participate in an all-day Mentor Day, in which each mentor was paired with four relevant mentors for individual sessions. From there, the investment committee selected six startups, all from the Miami area, who will compete in the finale for a $120K investment, set for Sept. 30 at 7 pm at le Rouge.  The event will be in-person but will be live-streamed to a virtual audience; RSVP to attend the event ) here.

The finalists as well as the entry pool at large represented the interesting diversity of the founders that are building here, said Tami McQueen, Panoramic’s marketing VP. The finalist selections represented a direct to consumer product maker, and solutions for  the enterprise space, the sports world, consumer healthcare and for crypto finance, for instance.
